I dropped him off. And he was waiting for his teacher to come, you know, come up and pick him up with his other students that were attending this choir show,\u201d she said. \u201cHe texted me, \u2018Mom, I\u2019m here\u2019 at around five o\u2019clock approximately. I texted him, \u2018I said everything good?\u2019 I have his text. He said, \u2018Yep, all good mom.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s father, Loden Moshi, told the station that he was the one who got the call that Daniel had collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got the call from his teacher, musical teacher. And she said there\u2019s an incident,\u201d he said. \u201cThat he was singing his solo rehearsal and he collapsed. And now they\u2019ve given him CPR and taken him to one hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel was unconscious when first responders arrived at the school, the report said. When Daniel arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Officials are investigating Daniel\u2019s death and have not released any details on what might have caused it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe came home Saturday morning, I received a call from the DuPage coroner\u2019s office and she said, \u2018Miss Moshi, I\u2019m reaching out to you to let you know that there was nothing wrong with your son,\u201d Karolin told the publication. \u201cHis organs were all healthy, his heart \u2014 absolutely nothing wrong with him.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s father and mother said that they have struggled emotionally since losing their son, but added that their faith has been what has kept them going.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not easy. We were supposed to buy him a car,\u201d Daniel\u2019s father said. \u201cWe\u2019re actually doing his funeral. It\u2019s not easy. It\u2019s not easy for any parent to go through this because we still don\u2019t have answers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s sister, Dayna, encouraged people to have fun with their siblings and enjoy the time that they get to share with them because \u201cif one of them goes away, you feel alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis loss impacts our entire Leyden community,\u201d Leyden High School said in statement. \u201cOur students and staff are grieving and our focus is on their well being. We encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out to a trusted adult and our Student Services department is available to provide support.
