The suit asks the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to order counties to segregate the undated and any incorrectly dated ballots.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans denounce Pennsylvania Democrat Secretary of the Commonwealth Leigh Chapman who has said <a href=\"https:\/\/nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fclick.campaigns.rnchq.com%2F%3Fqs%3D75cbe26a80d33e7e7867a020f825c8818fac8464f0375b6660e9aae00639e1b9061fbeee364ddc1a9bbb6de5d83acb52&#038;data=05%7C01%7CNMorales%40gop.com%7C3446a9d3314d4b8d42bd08dab03ade16%7C4a082c81950a410d9618462a9c74d6ae%7C1%7C0%7C638016064171459240%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&#038;sdata=gOXqHte3JPe%2Ff4m8l7PknLJUWAZLaWifotg3XHPpc8A%3D&#038;reserved=0\">she will ignore<\/a> the Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling which concluded the dating requirement was mandatory in 2020. The ruling was reaffirmed by the court again earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/press-release\/rnc-nrcc-pagop-sue-commonwealth-of-pennsylvania\/\">joint statement<\/a> by RNC Chair Ronna\u00a0McDaniel, National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Rep. Tom Emmer, (R-MN), and PAGOP Chairman Lawrence Tabas slammed Democrats&#8217; &#8220;brazen defiance&#8221; of election law. &#8220;As the Pennsylvania legislature and U.S. Supreme Court have made clear, undated mail-in ballots should not be counted. Republicans are holding Pennsylvania Democrats accountable for their brazen defiance of the Supreme Court and the rules duly set by the legislature. Pennsylvania Democrats have a history of election integrity failures and Pennsylvanians deserve better: this lawsuit is the latest step in Republican efforts to promote free, fair, and transparent elections in the Keystone State.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the GOP release, Democrats have made Pennsylvania a national &#8220;laughingstock&#8221; regarding elections. &#8220;Pennsylvania Democrats&#8217; consistent disregard for the election rules set by the legislature has resulted in Pennsylvania being a national election administration laughingstock. This is the second time in recent weeks that the RNC has brought litigation to remedy these types of issues.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The\u00a0@GOP,\u00a0@NRCC, and\u00a0@PAGOP\u00a0are suing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPChairwoman\/status\/1581989538267734020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McDaniel tweeted<\/a>\u00a0Monday. &#8220;As the Supreme Court has made clear, undated mail-in ballots should not be counted.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added, &#8220;Pennsylvania Democrats have a history of undermining election integrity and ignoring rules set by the PA legislature.
