(Photo by Doug Mills-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 7:05 PM PT \u2013 Wednesday, February 24, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>In another blow to his sweeping immigration reform, a federal judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/02\/24\/texas-judge-biden-deportation-ban-471315\">blocked<\/a> Joe Biden\u2019s 100-day moratorium on deportations. Texas Judge Drew Tipton indefinitely banned the policy after Attorney General Ken Paxton argued the move was in violation of federal law.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton said Texas signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, which acknowledged the state would be given 180 days notice before implementing immigration changes. The agreement was signed under President Trump and Paxton said it\u2019s imperative to protecting residents as the Lone Star State shares its southern border with Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Biden administration was accused of hypocrisy for allowing border facilities to house migrant children. The Department of Health and Human Services recently <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/02\/23\/wh-denies-kids-in-cages-hypocrisy-as-detention-centers-reopen\/\">reopened a facility in Texas<\/a> to house up to 700 unaccompanied minors.<\/p>\n<p>Both Biden and Kamala Harris continuously <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kamalaharris\/status\/1193722262014308355?lang=en\">blasted immigration laws<\/a> under President Trump, claiming migrant kids were being \u201cripped\u201d from their parents\u2019 arms and housed in cages.<\/p>\n<p>White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed the decision to house the minors was only temporary. However, it was reported hundreds of children were in holding for more than 72-hours in the last week, which was more than what is allowed for a temporary facility.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Psaki was pressed about the issue. She insisted delays occurred due to the coronavirus pandemic and dangerous weather in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo some, unfortunately, did say four days, five days or longer,\u201d Psaki said. \u201cBut the objective is to move them as quickly as possible to the HHS-sponsored facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defends the administration\u2019s creation and use of \u201cmigrant facilities for children\u201d at the southern border:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not kids being kept in cages.&#8221;<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QCJndIYflq\">pic.twitter.com\/QCJndIYflq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Alex Salvi (@alexsalvinews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/alexsalvinews\/status\/1364269807458164736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the meantime, Judge Tipton\u2019s ruling will apply to the entire country, not just Texas.
