Henderson\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Despite Ohtani&#8217;s eye-popping numbers, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/sports\/mlb\/los-angeles-angels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles Angels<\/a> again struggled, missing the playoffs for the eighth consecutive season while finishing below .500 for the 7th straight year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\/yankees-guardians-alds-game-5-postponed-rain-remains-steady-bronx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>YANKEES-GUARDIANS ALDS GAME 5 POSTPONED AS RAIN REMAINS STEADY IN THE BRONX<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Upon arriving back in Tokyo following the end of the baseball season, Ohtani said that while he personally had a good year, the Angels&#8217; struggles left a sour taste in his mouth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have to say that August and September in particular felt longer to me than last year,&#8221; Ohtani said, speaking in Japanese, according to ESPN. &#8220;We were not able to play as many good games as we would like \u2013 including 14 consecutive losses.
