Unfortunately, my abuser took advantage of my innocence and na\u00efvet\u00e9 and the relationship subsequently became violent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was beaten on a regular basis, locked into rooms and raced to pretend everything was ok and normal while dealing with intense injuries\u2026injuries most people didn\u2019t even see. I would use concealer and caked on foundation to hide any and all bruises, because in some way, I still cared for this person,\u201d she added. \u201cThe physical injuries were also accompanied by a plethora of put downs, shaming and harsh verbal abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt so unworthy of anyones love,\u201d the actress continued. \u201cI felt ugly and hated. I felt like I deserved less than dirt. I was certain, there must be something inherently WRONG with ME.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cZombieland\u201d star said she turned inward blaming herself, thinking she was the problem during what she described as the loneliest \u201cI have ever felt.\u201d She credited her family and friends with playing \u201can instrumental and invaluable role\u201d in helping her escape that \u201chorrible situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will forever be indebted to those closest to me for them not only assisting me but, BELIEVING me,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Breslin concluded her post by sharing that she\u2019s now in a \u201cwonderful, healthy, happy and amazing relationship\u201d with her fianc\u00e9 as she expressed support for those who are struggling right now to get out and feel \u201cless alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are in an abusive relationship currently, you CAN get out of it,\u201d Breslin wrote. \u201cI know it seems impossible and terrifying.
