Thirty-six percent of Americans are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/08\/11\/inflation-has-caused-more-than-a-third-of-adults-to-tap-their-savings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tapping<\/a> into their savings just to survive. The state of the economy, according to most Americans, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/cbs-poll-majority-blame-biden-for-economy-and-say-its-getting-worse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worsening<\/a>. So, what was Rouse\u2019s answer?<\/p>\n<p>According to Rouse, Americans can start saving money in 2023 \u2026 so long as they buy new and improved efficient windows and other green energy expenditures for their homes.<\/p>\n<p>Watch here:<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;When [will] the so-called &#8216;Inflation Reduction Act&#8217; will really start to bring down inflation?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Biden economic advisor Cecilia Rouse: &#8220;Next year. For example, there are tax credits for energy to help people weatherize their homes.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/javfyFXQfM\">pic.twitter.com\/javfyFXQfM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1581636810333212673?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm has also bragged about that tax credit. In short, you have to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hey-neat-spend-1000-on-green-energy-and-the-feds-will-give-you-a-300-tax-credit-to-reduce-inflation-thanks-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spend thousands to save hundreds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the average energy-efficient window pane costs anywhere from $325 to $1,110, <a href=\"https:\/\/modernize.com\/windows\/energy-efficient\">according<\/a> to Modernize, a home services website. That price range is per window \u2014 not for the entire home. Using the lowest estimate available, if you had four windows in your home, you\u2019d need to spend at least $1,300 before any labor or delivery costs are even calculated into it.<\/p>\n<p>If you did that, you would get a $390 tax credit. Four home windows are hard to come by, so it\u2019s likely you\u2019d spend a lot more than that.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/press-briefings\/2022\/10\/17\/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-october-17-2022\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=1-trump-putin-and-reopening-of-emails-investigation-from-michael_novakhov-37-sites-putin-and-american-political-process-google-news-press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-oct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that the White House \u201cunderstands\u201d that costs are burdening American families. That is why Biden signed an executive order speeding up the availability of over-the-counter hearing aids, she claimed.<\/p>\n<p>Huh?<\/p>\n<p>For those who need it, over-the-counter hearing aids will be cheaper. That is great news.<\/p>\n<p>There are just two problems with the White House\u2019s boast.<\/p>\n<p>The first is that not every American needs a hearing aid (obviously).<\/p>\n<p>The second is that Biden wasn\u2019t exactly the brainchild behind that policy.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, then-President Donald J. Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verifythis.com\/article\/news\/verify\/government-verify\/law-that-passed-in-2017-paved-the-way-for-over-the-counter-hearing-aids\/536-ffb3b7a0-1374-46dd-8d46-132c1ef6919d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed<\/a> a bipartisan law that deregulated hearing aids. The implementation was slowed down due to the pandemic as the Food and Drug Administration shifted manpower to COVID-related needs. Biden dragged it over the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, if \u201cderegulation\u201d is the key to bringing down the costs of products, why aren\u2019t Americans seeing deregulation in the oil and gas industry?<\/p>\n<p>Well, the answer is that the Biden administration is intent on forcing Americans into buying electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Long before the war in Ukraine began \u2014 which Democrats blame for practically every problem under the sun \u2014 America was dealing with high gas prices.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after returning from a three-month parental leave, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/dem-lawmakers\/583325-buttigieg-electric-vehicle-owners-never-have-to-worry-about-gas-prices-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> American families in November 2021 that they\u2019ll \u201cnever have to worry about gas prices again\u201d if they buy an EV.<\/p>\n<p>Granholm, Biden, and Buttigieg have repeated similar variations of that line for the past year.<\/p>\n<p>The usual suspects neglect to mention that the average EV has a gigantic price tag.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kelley Blue Book, in September of 2022, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/new-vehicle-average-transaction-prices-fall-for-first-time-in-five-months-after-recently-hitting-record-high-according-to-kelley-blue-book-301646940.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">average electric car price<\/a> was $65,291.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from hearing aids \u2014 which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nidcd.nih.gov\/health\/statistics\/quick-statistics-hearing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fewer than 30 million<\/a> Americans need \u2014 none of these examples of how to save money are fixed costs.<\/p>\n<p>You need to \u2014 as mentioned \u2014 spend lots of money to save money.<\/p>\n<p>So if you are a wealthy hard-of-hearing American looking to buy a new car and upgrade your entire home, you might find this all to be welcomed news.<\/p>\n<p>If not, tough luck schmuck.<\/p>\n<p><em>The views expressed in this piece are the author\u2019s own and do not necessarily represent those of The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2009, then-Vice President Joe Biden told the nation the federal government had to spend money to keep from going bankrupt.
