The video comes courtesy of an account belonging to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/homelessness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">homelessness<\/a> activist Thomas Wolf, who added in his original caption, \u201cThis isn\u2019t a shanty town in India. This is Oakland, CA. Now the actress is one of many people sharing clips of the homeless crisis currently exploding in major metropolitan areas around the country, especially in California.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cThelma &amp; Louise\u201d star was a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and the Biden-critical socialist Ryan Knight. She\u2019s known for speaking her mind and angering some centrist Democrats for not supporting their chosen candidates, including Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2016 presidential election, Sarandon endorsed Green Party candidate Jill Stein instead of Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t a protest vote. Following Bernie wasn\u2019t a protest,\u201d she told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2017\/nov\/26\/susan-sarandon-i-thought-hillary-was-very-dangerous-if-shed-won-wed-be-at-war\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Guardian<\/a> at the time. \u201cWell, I knew that New York was going to go [for Hillary]. It was probably the easiest place to vote for Stein. Bringing attention to working-class issues is not a luxury. People are really hurting; that\u2019s how this guy got in. What we should be discussing is not the election, but how we got to the point where Trump was the answer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did think she was very, very dangerous. We would still be fracking, we would be at war [if she was president]. It wouldn\u2019t be much smoother. Look what happened under Obama that we didn\u2019t notice,\u201d the actress continued.<\/p>\n<p>Sarandon is currently starring in the Fox series \u201cMonarch\u201d alongside some conservatives, such as co-star Trace Adkins.
