relaunch \u2013 courtesy of an all-company memo sent out by the CEO of the telecom giant\u2019s Spectacor arm David Scott.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you know, G4 was re-introduced last year to tap into the popularity of gaming,\u201d Scott opened the memo, as per a copy reportedly obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/10\/comcast-pulls-plug-on-g4-tv-ending-comeback-try-video-game-network-1235145219\/\">Deadline<\/a>. \u201cWe invested to create the new G4 as an online and TV destination for fans to be entertained, be inspired, and connect with gaming content.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-163607\" viewership is low and the network has not achieved sustainable financial results,\u201d he then revealed, before declaring, \u201cThis is certainly not what we hoped for, and, as a result, we have made the very difficult decision to discontinue G4\u2019s operations, effective immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto lrv-u-padding-l-2 pmc-u-padding-l-2
