Rae weighed in on the matter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elle.com\/culture\/celebrities\/a41530329\/issa-rae-elle-2022-women-in-hollywood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">via Elle magazine.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The saga of Ezra Miller clearly is top of mind for Rae, most recently seen in the comic thriller \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/b-j-novak-vengeance-review\/\">Vengeance<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rae shared her take on the current MeToo\/Cancel Culture craze with both perspective and unease.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile I don\u2019t support people jumping to immediate conclusions and I think it\u2019s entirely fair for investigations to happen, I think it\u2019s extremely important to, like the mantra says, \u2018Listen to women.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hollywood isn\u2019t doing just that when it comes to Ezra Miller. The young star, scheduled to anchor the 2023 DC Comics movie \u201cThe Flash,\u201d boasts a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/2022\/10\/ezra-miller-pleads-not-guilty-felony-burglary-1234773120\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">litany of accusations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Miller was arrested on second-degree assault charges in Hawaii earlier this year and has been accused of grooming multiple minors and sexual abuse. Environmental activist Tokata Iron Eyes, whose parents requested a court-issued protective order against Miller, stated in court documents that the actor met Tokata six years ago when they were 12 and Miller was 23. Iron Eyes\u2019 parents alleged Miller used \u201cviolence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rae is keenly aware of the actor\u2019s track record. She also knows \u201cThe Flash\u201d is slated to debut in June and that Miller recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/ezra-miller-returns-for-the-flash-reshoots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shot new footage for the film.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe stuff that\u2019s happening with Ezra Miller is, to me, a microcosm of Hollywood \u2026 there\u2019s this person who\u2019s a repeat offender, who\u2019s been behaving atrociously, and as opposed to shutting them down and shutting the production down, there\u2019s an effort to save the movie and them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Discovery refuses to shelve the project despite Miller\u2019s involvement in the film. We haven\u2019t seen a wave of media outrage attached to Miller\u2019s allegations. Fellow stars are mum on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>And, chances are, if Miller is open to completing rehab or does a \u201ctell-all\u201d interview with Oprah Winfrey the actor\u2019s career will resume.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/alec-baldwin-cancel-culture\/\">RELATED: WHY HASN\u2019T ALEC BALDWIN BEEN CANCELED?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cancel Culture and, by extension, MeToo, treats allegations differently based on politics and cultural considerations. He is a person of color with no Trump ties.<\/p>\n<p>Country superstar Morgan Wallen used the n-word in private in an unguarded moment and watched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/morgan-wallen-cancel-culture-cma-awards\/\">his professional life collapse<\/a> as a result.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is a straight white performer, and the far Left routinely attacks country music in toto as being too white and racist.<\/p>\n<p>Yet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/proof-cancel-culture-fraud\/\">Noah Cyrus used a grossly racist term<\/a> and suffered no consequences. Her sister is super-woke singer Miley Cyrus.<\/p>\n<p>Jussie Smollett was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-60695975\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found guilty of manufacturing a hate crime<\/a>.
