It felt like every single person \u2014 left and right \u2014 instantly got on board with the leftist perspective of the war.<\/p>\n<p>We all understood we had been repeatedly misled about COVID, but then suddenly war broke out in Ukraine and everyone suddenly said, \u201cYou know what? No, no, no. The press is definitely telling us the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Consider that at that moment in time, the press was basically saying Putin just didn\u2019t take his meds. One day he woke up. He didn\u2019t take his meds and he decided to invade Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>I said, \u201cNope, there\u2019s a lot more to the story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Early on in the war, I was reading some of Putin\u2019s speeches, where he was saying that NATO was the issue \u2014 that NATO was expanding eastward and he did not want NATO to do that. That it would be essentially having an army on his doorstep. And Nato had had prior discussions agreeing that it would never expand eastward.<\/p>\n<p>Now, whether or not that legitimizes Putin\u2019s reason to invade the country next door \u2014 that\u2019s a different conversation.<\/p>\n<p>But to pretend that this war had nothing to do with NATO at all? I mean, how ridiculous, how dishonest to not even enter NATO into the public discussion.<\/p>\n<p>So I felt very assured <a href=\"https:\/\/religionnews.com\/2022\/05\/03\/pope-francis-says-nato-barking-at-russias-door-faciliated-ukraine-conflict\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">when the Pope flat out said<\/a> \u201cNATO is barking at Russia\u2019s doors \u2026 I can\u2019t say if [Russia\u2019s] anger was provoked but facilitated? Maybe yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It makes people uncomfortable to tell and hear the truth.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, we are, for the most part, neglecting an honest conversation about the plausibility that what is happening in that region could trigger World War III. <\/p>\n<p>Former Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) recently had that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tulsi-gabbard-tells-rogan-that-harris-is-somebody-that-the-democratic-party-knows-that-they-can-control\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conversation with podcaster Joe Rogan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to ask you a difficult question. What do you think is going to happen?\u201d Rogan responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we continue down this path that we have seen, where we have seen this war continue to escalate since the invasion happened,\u201d Gabbard answered thoughtfully. \u201cWe will end up in World War Three and a nuclear holocaust. If nothing else changes, and we continue down this path, this is where that path leads \u2014 and it\u2019s not some far-flung possibility. They\u2019re talking about this now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rogan went on to say,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s very difficult for people who live in a world without nuclear war \u2014 to live in a world where you get up, your alarm clock goes off, you go to work, drive the same way every day \u2014 to imagine the eradication of all civility \u2026 just everything from all of our civil liberties, to all of our roads and utilities being gone, everything eradicated almost instantaneously. And living in a lawless, structureless society where people are scrambling for food and dying of radiation poisoning \u2014 if you\u2019re lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That is a terrifying discussion, but they are both correct.<\/p>\n<p>We are failing to have a very serious discussion about what would happen in the event of a nuclear war, which is entirely feasible at this moment.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, when the Cold War was raging, we prepared for nuclear war. School children were taught how to \u201cprepare\u201d by squatting under desks \u2014 which would have done nothing.<\/p>\n<p>That reminds me of how with the COVID \u201cemergency,\u201d we over-prepared. We had ridiculous preparations. We foolishly prepared for COVID in many ways. Its survival rate was far higher than we were told. The media was in lockstep spreading fear about the virus and pushing COVID measures.<\/p>\n<p>Yet now, we have this pending nuclear war and nobody in the media seems to care.<\/p>\n<p>What would the survival rate be if a nuke was dropped? Crickets from the press, they don\u2019t even want to talk about it.<\/p>\n<p>They just want to throw President Zelensky in Vogue and put him on the cover. They\u2019re trying to sell this conflict as glamorous to us. The press is saying, \u201cDon\u2019t be fearful, even though we are knocking on the doorsteps of a nuclear power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s completely and utterly senseless that we\u2019re doing nothing about this \u2014 when this is not an imaginary threat. This is a real one.<\/p>\n<p>So my question is, what is comforting you in this moment?
