Chuck Grassley<\/a> (R-IA), who previously released whistleblower claims alleging that evidence on Hunter Biden\u2019s criminality <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/whistleblowers-hunter-biden-wrongly-labeled-disinformation-fbi\">was wrongly labeled \u201cdisinformation\u201d<\/a> within the bureau, made the revelations in a Thursday letter obtained by the Washington Examiner. It was sent to <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/merrick-garland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Attorney General Merrick Garland<\/a>, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/christopher-wray\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI Director Christopher Wray<\/a>, and Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss \u2014 <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/david-weiss-attorney-holds-hunter-bidens-fate-in-hands\">who is running the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The whistleblower allegations relate to Hunter, as well as James Biden, the president&#8217;s brother, regarding the duo\u2019s dealings with the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/hunter-biden-laptop-holds-answers-gop-interest-shady-chinese-business-deals\">Chinese government-linked energy conglomerate<\/a> CEFC China Energy. They also relate to the younger Biden\u2019s work for Ukrainian gas giant Burisma Holdings. Grassley said his staff &#8220;reviewed the unclassified records&#8221; supporting the whistleblower claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on recent protected disclosures to my office, the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/fbi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI<\/a> has within its possession significant, impactful, and voluminous evidence with respect to potential criminal conduct by Hunter Biden and James Biden,\u201d Grassley said in the letter.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/fbi-agents-believe-enough-evidence-charge-hunter-biden\">FBI BELIEVES ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO CHARGE HUNTER BIDEN FOR TAX FRAUD AND LYING ON FEDERAL GUN FORM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>President-elect Joe Biden, right, embraces his son Hunter Biden, left, Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, in Wilmington, Del. (AP Photo\/Andrew Harnik, Pool) Andrew Harnik\/AP<\/p>\n<p>On the China front, the Republican senator cited Tony Bobulinski, a Navy veteran and former business associate of Hunter Biden, who went to the FBI in October 2020 to detail the Biden family\u2019s efforts to do business in China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe information provided by Mr. Bobulinski formed a sufficient basis to open a full field investigation on pay-to-play grounds; however, it is unclear whether the FBI did so and whether the information is part of the ongoing criminal investigation by U.S. Attorney Weiss,\u201d Grassley said.<\/p>\n<p>CEFC is a since-defunct multibillion-dollar Chinese company founded by Ye Jianming, a business tycoon who has since disappeared in China but with whom Hunter and James Biden had attempted to work out numerous deals and from whom the duo ultimately received millions of dollars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe evidence within the FBI\u2019s possession that I am referencing is included, in part, in a summary of Tony Bobulinski\u2019s October 23, 2020, interview with FBI agents,\u201d Grassley&#8217;s letter states. \u201cIn that interview, Mr. Bobulinski stated that the arrangement Hunter Biden and James Biden created with foreign nationals connected to the communist Chinese government included assisting them with potential business deals and investments while Joe Biden was Vice President; however, that work remained intentionally uncompensated while Joe Biden was Vice President.
