After brushing up against the wall, Wallace bounced into Larson\u2019s car and then continued by tracking Larson\u2019s car down the track and slamming into the rear of his car, causing both cars to spin out.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple reports said that the move by Wallace to spin out Larson\u2019s car appeared to be intentional. NASCAR could penalize Wallace if they believe that his actions were deliberate.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Kyle Larson hits Bubba Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace spins him out, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NASCARPlayoffs?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NASCARPlayoffs<\/a> driver Christopher Bell is involved! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TlxcEV5T6q\">pic.twitter.com\/TlxcEV5T6q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NASCAR on NBC (@NASCARonNBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NASCARonNBC\/status\/1581736259952594944?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After both cars came to a stop, Wallace, who has previously been described as being self-righteous and smug, got out of his car and physically attacked Larson, who is smaller than Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>Larson tried to get away from Wallace and the physical attack was only stopped when NASCAR officials intervened.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bubba Wallace is NOT HAPPY with Kyle Larson.<\/p>\n<p>Some pushes and shoves after they wreck. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NASCAR?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NASCAR<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aaAn0idrJp\">pic.twitter.com\/aaAn0idrJp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NASCAR on NBC (@NASCARonNBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NASCARonNBC\/status\/1581736033300774913?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Larson responded to the incident by saying that Wallace\u2019s aggression was not surprising.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI obviously made an aggressive move into three and got in low and got loose and chased it up a bit,\u201d Larson said. \u201cAnd yeah, I mean, he got to my right front, and I got him tight into the wall and knew he was gonna retaliate. So, like I said, I mean, he had a reason to be mad, but his race wasn\u2019t over until he retaliated. So it is what it is. Just, yeah, just aggression turned into frustration and he\u00a0retaliated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked on camera if it was appropriate for Wallace to retaliate at that speed, Larson said no, as he pointed to the severity of injuries that can happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think with everything that\u2019s been going on here lately with head injuries and all that, fractured ligaments and all that I don\u2019t think it\u2019s probably the right thing to do,\u201d Larson said.<\/p>\n<p>Larson did not act angry during the interview and seemed to have a lighter view of the incident, saying that most drivers have lost their cool and retaliated during races.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KyleLarsonRacin?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@KyleLarsonRacin<\/a> addressed Bubba Wallace&#8217;s move and if he thinks it was retaliation. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NASCAR?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NASCAR<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/sDVDXJTDxU\">pic.twitter.com\/sDVDXJTDxU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NASCAR on NBC (@NASCARonNBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NASCARonNBC\/status\/1581739369677062144?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, when Wallace was interviewed by the same person on camera, he took no responsibility for his actions and got snippy with the interviewer.<\/p>\n<p>The interviewer pointed out that Cliff Daniels, one of the top NASCAR crew chiefs, said that Wallace\u2019s actions amounted to retaliation and asked then asked Wallace if it was retaliation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCliff is smart enough to know that how easy these cars break so when you get shoved into the fence, like deliberately like he did, trying to force me to lift, steering was gone,\u201d Wallace claimed and then smirked, \u201che just so happened to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wallace arrogantly claimed, \u201cIt was just a piss poor move on his execution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen situations like this happen, Bubba, at this speed, is retaliation an acceptable thing?\u201d the interviewer asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStop fishing,\u201d Wallace snapped. \u201cStop fishing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not fishing. I\u2019m just asking you,\u201d the interviewer responded. \u201cLet\u2019s also talk about the message you wanted to send to Kyle by going up to him after the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe knows,\u201d Wallace said. \u201cHe knows that what he did was wrong. He wanted to question what I was doing.
