Following the announcement, Shelton\u2019s fellow country music stars have been reaching out to throw their full support behind him.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Shelton Leaving \u2018The Voice\u2019<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Blake Shelton surprised fans of \u201cThe Voice\u201d by announcing that he will be leaving the singing competition show after its upcoming 23rd season. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lz9kR1kins\">pic.twitter.com\/lz9kR1kins<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TODAY (@TODAYshow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TODAYshow\/status\/1580174196356915200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 12, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been wrestling with this for a while and I\u2019ve decided that it\u2019s time for me to step away from <em>The Voice<\/em> after season 23,\u201d Shelton said in a statement posted to social media. \u201cThis show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at \u2018<em>The Voice\u2019<\/em>\u00a0from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week. I\u2019ve made lifelong bonds with Carson and every single one my fellow coaches over the years, including my wife, Gwen Stefani!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-11305481\/Blake-Shelton-announces-departing-Voice-season.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a> reported that Shelton met his wife Stefani when they were both working on the singing reality series back in 2014.
