The states included in the sample are Nevada (69 percent), Arizona (70 percent), Georgia (68 percent), New Hampshire (60 percent), North Carolina (66 percent) Ohio (70 percent), and Pennsylvania (66 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Only an average of 23 percent of voters in Senate swing states say the nation is headed in the correct direction. Those states include Nevada (23 percent), Arizona (23 percent), Georgia (22 percent), New Hampshire (26 percent), North Carolina (24 percent) Ohio (22 percent), and Pennsylvania (24 percent).<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">The polling is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/10\/08\/joe-biden-underwater-15-points-average-senate-battleground-states\/\">compounded<\/a> by President Joe Biden\u2019s popularity in the battleground states, or the lack thereof.\u00a0Biden\u2019s average approval rating in seven of the top Senate swing states is underwater by an average of 15 points, a key midterm election bellwether metric that confirms the mood of voters.<\/p>\n<p>One of the greatest reasons Biden\u2019s approval rating is sour is due to record high inflation brought on by massive Democrat spending and the war on American energy. Independent voters, a bloc Democrats badly need to win to retain the Senate, blame the leader of the Democrat Party for soaring inflation.\u00a0Sixty-six percent of independents\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000183-cacd-dcd6-af9f-fadf7c130000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">believe<\/a>\u00a0Biden has \u201csomewhat\u201d or \u201cstrongly\u201d mismanaged the economy, a Wednesday morning consult poll found. Only 27 percent of independents approve of Biden\u2019s management. Eighty-two percent say Biden\u2019s America is \u201cseriously\u201d off track.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the nation\u2019s soaring costs are due to Biden\u2019s own fiscal and energy policies, such as his campaign\u00a0promise\u00a0to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/06\/15\/flashback-candidate-joe-biden-promised-wage-war-american-oil-industry\/\">reduce<\/a> oil drilling and spend massive amounts of taxpayer dollars. In the last two years, the Biden administration has succeeded in\u00a0<a title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/06\/04\/gas-prices-have-doubled-since-joe-biden-assumed-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">driving<\/a>\u00a0up private and public financing costs of oil drilling,\u00a0halting drilling on public lands, and\u00a0canceling the Keystone pipeline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">The energy crisis has experts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-10-14\/odds-of-us-recession-within-next-year-climb-to-60-survey-shows?srnd=premium&#038;sref=Hpp1MmFS&#038;leadSource=uverify%20wall\">worried<\/a> that the nation may plunge further into a recession. According to a Bloomberg poll of economists, the probability of a recession \u201cover the next 12 months stands at 60%, up from 50% odds in September and double what it was six months ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though the cratering economy is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/midterm-election\/2022\/10\/12\/worry-about-joe-bidens-inflation-hurting-senate-democrat-candidates\/\">impacting<\/a>\u00a0key voters in swing states, Biden has threatened voters with a worse economy if Republicans retake the Senate and the House.
