If so, why?\u201d the program asked, along with,\u00a0\u201cHow often had you had a teacher or professor of your own race(s)?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The program also asked how often the employees had been to weddings or funerals that were \u201cvirtually all white?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat are some of the ways in which your race has shaped your life?\u201d this section of the program concluded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow there\u2019s no way I can give you the time to answer that last one,\u201d the program moderator said with a chuckle. \u201cThe last one should be something that you are thinking about if you are white for the rest of your life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019m hoping that those questions for most white people surface, that theres a little more going on than, we just were taught to see everybody as equal,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, Under Armour released a\u00a0series of new diversity and inclusion actions that included a <a href=\"https:\/\/footwearnews.com\/2020\/business\/athletic-outdoor\/under-armour-diversity-inclusion-july-2020-1203028615\/\">commitment<\/a> to\u00a0fill 12 percent of director and above positions with African American hires by 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Under Armour is far from the first large company to frustrate its employees over diversity training programs that separate workers by race and are rife with condemnations of \u201cwhiteness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This week, Coca-Cola <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/backlash-hits-coca-cola-after-accusations-of-anti-white-agenda\">came under fire<\/a> for a training seminar that reportedly encouraged the mammoth soft drink company\u2019s employees to be \u201cless white.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the U.S. and other Western nations, white people are socialized to feel that they are inherently superior because they are white,\u201d states one slide from the \u201cConfronting Racism\u201d course, allegedly shared by a whistleblower from inside the company. The training program was part of a LinkedIn Learning Series.<\/p>\n<p>Other slides allegedly urged Coke employees to\u00a0\u201ctry to be less white\u201d as well as to \u201cbreak with white solidarity,\u201d \u201clisten,\u201d \u201cbelieve,\u201d and\u00a0\u201cbe less oppressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Coca-Cola released a statement responding to the backlash, saying the training session video that went viral \u201cis not a focus of our company\u2019s curriculum\u201d and promising to \u201ccontinue to refine this curriculum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coca-Cola later released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/backlash-hits-coca-cola-after-accusations-of-anti-white-agenda\">slightly different<\/a> statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>The video and images attributed to a Coca-Cola training program are not part of the company\u2019s learning curriculum. Our Better Together global learning curriculum is part of a learning plan to help build an inclusive workplace. It is comprised of a number of short vignettes, each a few minutes long. The training includes access to LinkedIn Learning on a variety of topics, including on diversity, equity and inclusion.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In September, former President\u00a0Trump issued an executive order mandating that federal agencies cease using taxpayer dollars to fund diversity training focusing on critical race theory, calling the programs \u201cdivisive, un-American propaganda training sessions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, on his first day in office, President Biden overrode the previous administration\u2019s order and rescinded the restrictions on federal agencies using the training programs.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
