She had been detained by\u00a0Iran\u2019s morality police on Sept. 13 for\u00a0failing to adhere to Iran\u2019s strict Islamic dress code for women.\u00a0Amini died three days later while still in\u00a0police custody.<\/p>\n<p>Her death has sparked outrage across the country, with many calling for\u00a0Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to be removed from power.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s not our focus right now,\u201d Price said, noting that\u00a0Washington is focusing instead on supporting Iranian protesters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it is very clear, the Iranians have made it very clear that this is not a deal that they have been prepared to make. The deal certainly does not appear imminent.
