She is charged with murdering 7 babies, and attempting to murder another 10 at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015-June 2016. She denies all the charges. Coverage on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BBCNews?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BBCNews<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zuqRx31uV2\">pic.twitter.com\/zuqRx31uV2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Judith Moritz (@JudithMoritz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudithMoritz\/status\/1579413797529231361?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Nick Johnson told the court Tuesday that the mother unknowingly walked in on Letby killing her son by injection, and was told by the nurse that staff would take care of the baby and she should leave the unit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe say that she interrupted Lucy Letby who was attacking [Child E], although she did not realise it at the time,\u201d Johnson said, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/nurse-lucy-letby-was-interrupted-by-victims-mother-during-attack-and-told-her-trust-me-im-a-nurse-court-hears-12717952\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to Sky News. (Note: victims\u2019 names have been removed.)<\/p>\n<p>Letby allegedly injected the baby\u2019s bloodstream with air while working in the neonatal unit on August 3, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>When the mother noticed her \u201cdistressed\u201d child was bleeding from his mouth, Letby told her to leave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Trust me, I\u2019m a nurse\u2019.
