BROWN \/ AFP via Getty Images)  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 4:32 PM PT \u2013 Tuesday, October 11, 2022<\/p>\n<p>A <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/10\/09\/us\/california-high-speed-rail-politics.html\" target=\"_blank\">new report <\/a>has found that California\u2019s planned high-speed bullet train will not be able to be completed this century.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\">\n<\/div>\n<p>California voters approved a $33 billion bond issue for the bullet train in 2008. The train will connect Los Angeles to San Francisco in less than three hours.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><\/figure>\n<p>The project was originally supposed to be completed in 2020. However, it has faced numerous roadblocks, namely politics and higher costs.
