Version: 4.0.47--><div><\/div>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p>Setting aside the blatant hypocrisy \u2014 which we\u2019ll get to, later \u2014 North Carolina Democrat Senate nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/nick-arama\/2022\/10\/08\/dems-in-big-trouble-in-senate-battleground-states-because-of-biden-n639777\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cheri Beasley<\/a> believes rioters have \u201clegitimate pain,\u201d and that \u201cit\u2019s not that simple\u201d to simply tell them not to riot, during remarks about George Floyd riots in Raleigh, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>As Julio Rosas <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/juliorosas\/2022\/10\/07\/north-carolina-senate-dem-candidate-dismissed-2020s-blm-riots-n2614141\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> on RedState\u2019s sister site Townhall, Beasley, who recently served as North Carolina\u2019s Supreme Court chief justice, said last week that violent Black Lives Matter riots that took place across the U.S. in the aftermath of Floyd\u2019s death in 2020 \u201chave been really fruitful,\u201d incredulously adding: \u201cI think our conversations across the board are very different.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If by \u201cvery different\u201d Beasley meant blanket \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/mike_miller\/2022\/09\/27\/maine-department-of-education-calls-maga-a-form-of-covert-racism-and-white-supremacy-n633616\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">white supremacy<\/a>\u201d charges against white Americans who, by virtue of the color of their skin, are <em>born<\/em> afflicted with \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/mike_miller\/2022\/07\/26\/bidens-new-cybersecurity-deputy-inexplicably-declares-systemic-racism-greatest-threat-to-america-n601662\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">systemic racism<\/a>,\u201d for which they must spend their lives atoning for their whiteness by proactively practicing \u201canti-racist\u201d behavior, she was right.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, Beasley is delusional as hell.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It is shocking to see our workplaces, businesses, and community spaces damaged, but we must recognize the legitimate pain and weight <em>of<\/em> <em>years<\/em> of disparate treatment that fuels these demonstrations.\u00a0We <em>must<\/em> be willing to hear that message \u2014 even when we are saddened by the way it is delivered.<\/p>\n<p>We must decry the failures of justice and <em>equity<\/em> \u2014 <em>just as forcefully<\/em> as we decry violence.\u00a0 It is not enough to say to protesters, \u2018Go home and follow the rules.\u2019 It\u2019s just not that simple.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Beyond absurdity \u2014 but unsurprising, given the upside-down world of today\u2019s left.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">North Carolina Democrat Senate nominee Cheri Beasley amid the destructive BLM riots: \u201cWe must recognize the legitimate pain\u201d of the rioters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is not enough to say to protesters: go home and follow the rules. Let\u2019s hit both.<\/p>\n<p>Beasley said in effect that those with diverse views \u2014 legitimate or not \u2014 should be excused or at least <em>understood<\/em> for breaking laws against looting, violence, and indiscriminate rioting. The hypocrisy couldn\u2019t be more blatant; unless Beasley and her leftist comrades believe the same \u201clogic\u201d should apply to January 6 Capitol rioters who have been held without charges and called \u201cinsurrectionists\u201d by Democrat lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>As Rosas reported in his Townhall piece, Beasley recently reiterated her take on the BLM riots that gripped the nation in the summer of 2020.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>So the protesting has been helpful. I\u2019m sorry that there\u2019s been an effort to be divisive around it because I believe the protests have offered an opportunity to allow people to really think differently. It\u2019s not supposed to be easy. I understand that folks are concerned about violence and all of that, but that\u2019s a dis-detraction in my mind around what the real issues are.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yet, while January 6 rioters foolishly breached the U.S. Capitol Building, <em>they<\/em> didn\u2019t loot, burn, or indiscriminately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2020\/oct\/31\/americans-killed-protests-political-unrest-acled\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kill 25 people<\/a>.\u00a0What was Cheri Beasley\u2019s take on<em> that<\/em> riot? Crickets.<\/p>\n<p>Silent and hypocritical as hell, of course, but should America have expected anything more?
