The incumbent faces Republican Pam Anderson, a former suburban Denver clerk and head of the state\u2019s county clerks association, who is a staunch advocate of Colorado\u2019s all-mail voting system.<\/p>\n<p>State GOP chairwoman, Kristi Burton Brown, condemned Griswold for the error, saying in a Monday statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/elections-colorado-voting-presidential-voter-registration-440a78fff21bfb75d413c69b0c0f3c61\">the Associated Press<\/a> that \u201cJena Griswold continues to make easily avoidable errors just before ballots go out\u201d by mail.<\/p>\n<p>The error occurred as Griswold\u2019s office mailed the notices on Sept. 27 to residents who had non-citizen Colorado driver\u2019s licenses. The message on the front reads, \u201cMake sure your voice is heard this November,\u201d and then directs people to \u201cRegister to VOTE today at www.GoVoteColorado.gov,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpr.org\/2022\/10\/07\/colorado-voter-registration-notices-non-citizens\/\">Colorado Public Radio News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Colorado sends postcards every two years to eligible but not yet registered residents, encouraging them to vote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur records indicate that you or your household may be eligible to vote, but do not appear to be registered at your current address,\u201d the postcards said.
