The story was ironically headlined, \u201cBiden Warns Inflation Will Worsen if Republicans Retake Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nowhere in Rappeport\u2019s piece, of course, was anything pointing out Biden\u2019s hypocrisy for trying to scaremonger about a potential Republican Congress setting off the very inflationary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/joseph-vazquez\/2021\/02\/08\/obama-econ-adviser-larry-summers-warns-biden-stimulus\">pressures the president unleashed<\/a> himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Then came the hilarious part: Rappeport actually claimed Biden\u2019s new line of political attacks meant he was somehow \u201cshedding his <strong>usual tone of bipartisanship<\/strong> a month ahead of the midterm elections.\u201d Rappeport conveniently didn\u2019t mention <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/curtis-houck\/2022\/09\/02\/gross-nets-gush-over-blistering-fiery-biden-speech-calling-gopers\">Biden\u2019s notorious<\/a> Sept. 1 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/biden-blood-red-backdrop-speech-maga\">\u2018Blood Red<\/a>\u2019\u201d speech in which he absurdly charged that the tens of millions of \u201cMAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But according to Rappeport, Biden shed his supposed \u201cusual tone of bipartisanship\u201d by accusing Republicans of pushing inflationary policies during a speech at a Volvo manufacturing facility in Hagerstown, Md., on Oct. 7. Did Rappeport forget about when Biden took aim at pro-life conservatives in May,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/kyle-drennen\/2022\/05\/05\/nets-hype-bidens-nasty-warning-about-extreme-gop\"> saying<\/a>: \u201c[T]his MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that\u2019s existed in American history \u2013 in recent American history.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not exactly \u201cusual\u201d for Biden to be bipartisan. But Rappeport continued hammering that nutty drum. \u201cDespite his sharper tone, Mr. Biden said that he remained hopeful that bipartisan cooperation could be possible after the election,\u201d the <em>Times <\/em>reported. \u201c\u2018That\u2019s my hope, that after this election, there will be a little return to sanity,\u2019 Mr. Biden said. \u2018That we\u2019ll stop this bitterness that exists between the parties and have people working together.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What a joke.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent inflation report showed that prices rose<a href=\"https:\/\/tradingeconomics.com\/united-states\/inflation-cpi\"> 8.3 percent<\/a> in August from a year prior, after the yearly inflation rate reached<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/08\/10\/consumer-prices-rose-8point5percent-in-july-less-than-expected-as-inflation-pressures-ease-a-bit.html\"> 8.5 percent<\/a> in July, and had hit a 40-year high in June of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/opub\/ted\/2022\/consumer-prices-up-9-1-percent-over-the-year-ended-june-2022-largest-increase-in-40-years.htm\"> 9.1 percent<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s worse is that Biden signed into law the<a href=\"https:\/\/smartasset.com\/financial-advisor\/inflation-reduction-act\"> $740 billion Inflation Reduction Act<\/a> monstrosity in August, which will do the opposite of what its name suggests.<\/p>\n<p>CNBC in May <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/jeffrey-clark\/2022\/06\/01\/cnbc-fact-checks-biden-econ-advisor-inflation-none-those\">smacked down<\/a> a Biden government official\u2019s attempts to explain the president\u2019s so-called \u201cplan\u201d to fight inflation, after National Economic Council Director <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BrianDeeseNEC?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor\">Brian Deese<\/a> summed up Biden\u2019s plan for fighting inflation in three steps: leaving the Federal Reserve alone, supporting renewable energy and affordable housing, and funding the Internal Revenue Service more heavily.<\/p>\n<p>CNBC host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/becky-quick\/\">Becky Quick<\/a> responded to this nonsense by saying \u201cnone of those steps\u201d would tackle the \u201cskyrocketing costs\u201d for gas, food, rent, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>The sole right-leaning perspective in the piece was reported from the familiar \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/joseph-vazquez\/2022\/09\/30\/republicans-pounce-hill-squawks-over-biden-being-blamed\">Republicans pounce<\/a>\u201d angle: \u201c<strong>Republicans seized<\/strong> on signs of a cooling job market to assail Mr. Biden for economic mismanagement on Friday.\u201d [Emphasis added.]\n<p>Oh, poor Joe.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Conservatives are under attack. <\/em><\/strong><em>Contact The New York Times at 1-800-698-4637 and demand it\u00a0 stop trying to whitewash how Biden\u2019s policies set off America\u2019s inflation crisis.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New York Times gave President Joe Biden an open sounding board to cast blame on Republicans for the inflation created by his own policies one month ahead of the<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1682882,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mo_disable_npp":"","fifu_image_url":"","fifu_image_alt":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1682880","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1682880","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1682880"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1682880\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1682882"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1682880"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=1682880"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=1682880"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
