I actually was thinking we should just say nothing about it and just appreciate the art that was the response.\u00a0Because the response we knew we were going to get was really a commentary on society.<\/p>\n<p>For years we were told that saying \u201cBlack Lives Matter\u201d was not divisive, saying \u201cBlack Lives Matter\u201d was not a form of black supremacy, and saying \u201cBlack Lives Matter\u201d was a righteous thing to say. People were, of course, then okay with people who said, \u201cAsian Lives Matter\u201d because that phrase is not divisive.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, you can just insert any race for that word \u2014 except for white.<\/p>\n<p>The same people championing BLM suddenly said that \u201cWhite Lives Matter\u201d was an expression of white supremacy.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I was comfortable to just allow people to scream and to shout and while we sit back and appreciate the art in it. But then Ye decided it was time to say something else, because he\u2019s not just an artist, right?\u00a0 He is more than that. He has always been more than just an artist, or a rapper, or a producer, or a fashion designer.<\/p>\n<p>So he went on Tucker Carlson Thursday night and his interview provided a very different version of Ye West than the one his critics portray him as \u2014 everybody says he\u2019s completely insane, he\u2019s thoughtless, and on and on.<\/p>\n<p>But here\u2019s what he actually sounds like:<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WATCH?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#WATCH<\/a> | \u201cI&#8217;m pro-life [\u2026] there&#8217;s more black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point. 50% of black death in America is abortion. So I really don\u2019t care about people\u2019s responses, I perform for an audience of one, and that&#8217;s God\u201d: Kanye West. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ds4Kwyoc8G\">pic.twitter.com\/ds4Kwyoc8G<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 El American (@ElAmerican_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ElAmerican_\/status\/1578200268952539137?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 7, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He also explained, \u201cPeople, they\u2019re looking for an explanation and people say, \u2018Well, as an artist, you don\u2019t have to give an explanation,\u2019 but as a leader, you do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the answer to why I wrote \u2018White Lives Matter\u2019 on a shirt is because they do,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s the obvious thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amazing. He was incredibly measured and profound.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s profound in its simplicity, right? They do.<\/p>\n<p>It is true. White lives matter. Black lives matter. Asian lives matter. All lives matter.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, we live in a society that is unwilling to admit that it is a form of racism. When you\u2019re only angry, when you say \u201cWhite Lives Matter,\u201d right? It is such a strange time to live in that people think that they are legitimate in treating white people as if they\u2019re not allowed to speak in society anymore.<\/p>\n<p>And how incredible is he in wearing this lanyard and speaking to this understanding that what we do matters only to God?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Right, and what is happening in black America is a form of genocide. What is happening in terms of the abortion industry and its deep history related to eugenics and Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood. What is happening in the black community and America is unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>It is such a cultural moment that West had the courage to go on Tucker Carlson and to hold the line and not to completely collapse, because people on the Left are basically demanding that he be silenced. They no longer want him. People in fashion, the big models, anybody with power in that industry are basically saying he needs to go. He\u2019s just a bully.<\/p>\n<p>The media are completely silent about the fact that others are describing him as mentally ill.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine describing a black man who has the courage to speak out on the death industry of abortion, and saying, \u201cOh that\u2019s just somebody who is mentally ill and disturbed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Right. That\u2019s not a form of racism?
