That\u2019s a tough act to follow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s the point of this post?\u201d Mendes continued. \u201cTo shift that narrative. I never quit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cGhost Rider\u201d star\u2019s post included a handful of headlines. She opens up in an Interview.\u201d Another from <a href=\"https:\/\/parade.com\/news\/eva-mendes-reveals-why-she-quit-acting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parade<\/a> read, \u201cEva Mendes Reveals Why She Quit Acting.\u201d One in <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/why-eva-mendes-quit-acting-1235351470\/\">Variety<\/a> read, \u201cEva Mendes on Quitting Acting: \u2018I Don\u2019t Really Miss It.&#8217;\u201d While the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/popculture\/movies\/eva-mendes-stopped-acting-rcna47068\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Today<\/a>\u201d show\u2019s headline read, \u201cEva Mendes Opens up about why she stopped acting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got tired of fighting for the good roles,\u201d the \u201cHitch\u201d star previously told NBC. \u201cThere just was a point where I thought, \u2018I\u2019m going to create my own opportunities and become a producer on things and create my own material,\u2019 but it just didn\u2019t feel worth it to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are more opportunities for Latina actresses now, but when I bowed out 10 years ago I wasn\u2019t being offered things that weren\u2019t specifically Latina,\u201d the actress told Variety. \u201cIt is exciting that things are different now, so who knows what I will do in the future.
