According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/09\/13\/maricopa-county-under-fire-for-appointing-more-democrat-than-republican-poll-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a>, 10 GOP and 58 Democrat poll workers ended up working in the \u201creceiving\/inspection boards,\u201d which \u201cwould violate the state\u2019s election procedures manual\u201d that mandates each central board to be \u201ccomprised of two members of different political parties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/prod-media-assets.protectthevote.com\/media\/document\/news\/AZ_2_rnqsedp8.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">second lawsuit<\/a> filed by the RNC and RPAZ, the two groups contend that Maricopa election officials have approved policies that make it more difficult to ensure equal political representation among poll workers in elections, such as \u201cadopting onerous minimum hours requirements that deter nearly all citizens who would be willing to participate in the administration of elections under reasonable requirements\u201d and \u201cmaintaining inhospitable working conditions\u201d that resulted in \u201c\u2018well over 500\u2019 board appointees\u201d resigning over a \u201crelatively short period of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter several weeks of negotiations, Maricopa County left us no choice but to sue because Arizonans who want to be poll workers shouldn\u2019t be shut out of the process,\u201d said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and RPAZ Chairwoman Kelli Ward in a <a href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/press-release\/rnc-and-rpaz-file-two-lawsuits-against-maricopa-county\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a>. \u201cWith midterms just 34 days away, Arizonans deserve basic transparency about how their elections will be conducted.
