That wasn\u2019t our slogan to go share with nobody else \u2026 Because right now, we\u2019re the ones that are dying, that are incarcerated, that are left in poverty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have to be unapologetically black and love your people and love your tribe first,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Kanye West received a torrent of criticism over his shirt, to which he responded by calling \u201cBlack Lives Matter\u201d a scam in an Instagram post:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Everyone knows that<\/p>\n<p>Black Lives Matter was a scam<\/p>\n<p>Now it\u2019s over<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re welcome<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CjWK8dpOUZs\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Most recently,\u00a0Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (GNF) executive\u00a0Shalomyah Bowers has been accused of \u201csiphoning\u201d off more than $10 million from donors. In early September, the grassroots wing of the far-left activist organization (BLM Grassroots) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/09\/06\/black-lives-matter-executive-accused-of-siphoning-10-million-from-donors\/\">alleged that Bowers<\/a> \u201csiphoned\u201d the money to pay his consulting firm after he joined the board of the foundation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cBowers is accused of paying the cash to his own Bowers Consulting Firm, and diverting resources from a new group called Black Lives Matter Grassroots, Inc.,\u201d according to the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/09\/03\/activists-accuse-blm-leader-shalomyah-bowers-of-stealing-10m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\"><em>New York Post<\/em><\/a>. \u201cBLM Grassroots was launched three months ago, records show. It claims to represent BLM chapters across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Attorney Walter Mosley, who founded the grassroots group, said in the lawsuit filed that Bowers \u201ccould not let go of his personal piggy bank.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead, he continued to betray the public trust by self-dealing and breaching his fiduciary duties. Instead of using the donations for its intended purposes, Mr. Bowers diverted these donations to his own coffers and intentionally took calculated steps to prevent those same resources from being used by BLM for on-the-ground movement work,\u201d the lawsuit claimed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>In May, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors admitted to using the group\u2019s $6 million property to host private parties after she had previously resigned from the organization amid scrutiny over her spending of charitable funds. As Breitbart News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/05\/09\/blm-co-founder-admits-she-used-groups-6-million-property-host-personal-parties\/\">reported<\/a>\u00a0at the time:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\">One of those events took place in January 2021, where she apparently sought \u201crefuge at the property amid threats on her life.\u201d However, at that time, she chose to host an inauguration party celebrating the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, along with roughly 15 people, \u201cincluding BLM Los Angeles chapter members and other prominent movement supporters,\u201d according to the AP.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Two months later, Cullors threw her son a birthday party at the BLM property, but she told the outlet \u201cshe intended to pay a rental fee to the foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tax documents filed with the IRS also showed that Cullors would spend lavish funds for her brother and child\u2019s father to perform various services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe tax documents as seen by numerous media outlets reveal BLM paid a company owned by Damon Turner, the father of Cullors\u2019 child, nearly $970,000 to help \u201cproduce live events\u201d and provide other \u201ccreative services,\u2019\u201d noted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/05\/17\/tax-filings-reveal-blm-co-founder-patrisse-cullors-lavish-charity-spending\/\">Breitbart News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rap, fashion, and media mogul Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs defended rapper Kanye West wearing a \u201cWhite Lives Matter\u201d T-shirt at his Paris fashion show.
