Wade, according to a new analysis.<\/p>\n<p>In 15 states that have imposed complete or six-week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-abortion\">abortion<\/a> bans, 66 clinics have stopped offering abortions, according to the pro-abortion nonprofit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/2022\/10\/100-days-post-roe-least-66-clinics-across-15-us-states-have-stopped-offering-abortion-care\">Guttmacher Institute<\/a>. A total of 26 of the clinics have closed, including the Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization in Mississippi, while the others are still performing other services.<\/p>\n<p>The only clinics that were operating in those states before the Supreme Court decision that are still offering abortions are all located in Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin now have no such clinics.<\/p>\n<p>In those 14 states, more than 125,000 abortions were performed in 2020. Roughly 41,600 abortions were performed in Georgia that year.<\/p>\n<p>Roe v. Wade, a 1973 Supreme Court decision, concluded that access to abortion was a constitutional right. The decision was wrongly decided, the high court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/supreme-court-strikes-down-roe-v-wade-abortion-precedent_4555931.html\">ruled in June<\/a>, striking down both Roe v. Wade and an associated ruling, Planned Parenthood v. Casey.<\/p>\n<p>That returned the ability to impose more restrictive laws concerning abortion to the states. In some states, laws that were on the books took effect as a result of the ruling; in other states, legislators passed new laws that would have or likely would have been blocked if Roe and Planned Parenthood weren\u2019t struck down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMuch more research will need to be conducted to grasp the full extent of the chaos, confusion, and harm that the U.S. Supreme Court has unleashed on people needing abortions,\u201d the Guttmacher Institute stated in its analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America offered a different view. The group <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/100-days-after-dobbs-24-states-poised-to-save-200000-lives-annually-while-dems-push-abortion-on-demand\">stated<\/a> that the abortion bans already in effect or slated to take effect \u201care anticipated to protect as many as 200,000 unborn children annually.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group also denounced how the Biden administration is handing out $6 million in grants to groups that promote abortion. President Joe Biden and other Democrats have said that they want to pass laws at the federal level that will scale back the authority of states to restrict abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile two dozen states are poised to protect the unborn and their mothers, saving as many as 200,000 lives a year thanks to the historic Dobbs victory, radical Democrats led by the Biden\u2013Harris administration are determined to use the full weight of the federal government to impose abortion on demand until birth with no limits, paid for by taxpayers, nationwide.
