During Donald Trump\u2019s time at the White House, Democrats claimed he was unstable and a threat to national security. Allegedly, his irrational behavior and incoherent ramblings were proof he couldn\u2019t perform his presidential duties. Rumors began that Democrats would try to use the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.<\/p>\n<p>Consider Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). On Oct. 8, 2020, Pelosi commented that Trump suffered from a <span class=\"c4\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2020\/oct\/08\/nancy-pelosi-donald-trump-25th-amendment-removal\">\u201cdissociation from reality\u201d<\/a><\/span> in response to some of his tweets at the time. She claimed he was in \u201can altered state\u201d and that his condition \u201cwould be funny if it weren\u2019t so deadly.\u201d As a result, Democrats said they would create a commission to determine if they could legally remove Trump from office using the 25th Amendment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/patriotism-unity\/errand-boy-saudi-biden\">&#8216;RIYADH&#8217;S ERRAND BOY&#8217;: BIDEN&#8217;S SAUDI OVERTURES PANNED AFTER OPEC OIL MOVE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"c4\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/constitutioncenter.org\/the-constitution\/amendments\/amendment-xxv\">25th Amendment<\/a><\/span> specifies the procedure for the transfer of presidential power in case of an emergency such as death or disability. Section 4 states that the president can be stripped of his\/her power if it is determined that he\/she cannot \u201cdischarge the powers and duties\u201d of the office. It would require the vice president and members of the Cabinet to give a \u201cwritten declaration\u201d to the president pro tempore of the Senate and speaker of the House.<\/p>\n<p>But were these issues really imminent dangers to the country? If Biden was held to the standards that made Democrats worry about President Donald Trump, then the answer is no.<\/p>\n<p>Consider some of Biden\u2019s many mishaps. First, there are his many malapropisms on the rare occasions his handlers let him talk in public. Next, Biden has looked dazed, confused, and <span class=\"c4\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hzlOckU1GcM\">lost<\/a><\/span> during press conferences. He\u2019s been seen shaking hands with no one, <span class=\"c4\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bgpsCiIlo80\">wandering<\/a><\/span> off a stage, and mispronouncing the name of our country. Finally, last week, while at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, Biden asked to speak to <span class=\"c4\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/biden-walorski-age\">Rep. Jackie Walorski<\/a><\/span> (R-IN), a former congresswoman who tragically died in a car crash earlier this year. \u201cWhere\u2019s Jackie?\u201d trended on social media as a result as Biden was mercilessly mocked.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has made enough mistakes that even the most ardent supporter would question his cognitive abilities. Yet, despite these repeated gaffes and many other signs of decline, a president\u2019s mental health deterioration apparently isn&#8217;t a national security threat anymore. It shows that all of the Democrats&#8217; talk about the 25th Amendment was nonsense. It was nothing more than left-wing political theater to appeal to a rabid left-wing mob that loathed the president.
