Another correspondence issued in January 2021 confirmed that EcoHealth Alliance, which for years worked with a high-level Wuhan lab to conduct risky bat coronavirus research, was one of the targets. The name of the other party was redacted.<\/p>\n<p>Such allegations, if true, would constitute a violation of the U.S. federal law, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/USCODE-2011-title18\/html\/USCODE-2011-title18-partI-chap47-sec1031.htm\">Title 18 of U.S. Code \u00a71031<\/a>, \u201cmajor fraud against the United States,\u201d according to the memorandum.
