The money given to Guttmacher is just a small fraction of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/about\/news\/2022\/10\/04\/hhs-announces-grant-funding-reproductive-health-and-family-planning-services-research.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> $6 million HHS promised<\/a> to nearly a dozen of research organizations for data on expanding abortions in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>To receive the full funds by the grant\u2019s end in 2025, Guttmacher has pledged itself to \u201cgenerating actionable data to ensure high-quality, equitable sexual and reproductive health care.\u201d In other words, the institute will be working overtime to supply the Biden administration with whatever statistics it needs to advance its pro-abortion agenda. <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s not something Guttmacher is shy about. As a matter of fact, the institute\u2019s grant description explicitly states it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis work will result in data and findings readily available for policy makers, clinical providers, and program planners to leverage when designing programs and policies to increase equitable access, especially for those most in need of publicly funded [sexual reproductive health] services,\u201d the grant states.  <\/p>\n<p>That includes providing data about \u201ctrends in client need and use of Title X services\u201d that the Biden administration can use to justify its undoing of several Trump-era policies that protected taxpayer funds from going to abortions at home or overseas. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe aim to disseminate data and findings from this work widely and effectively,\u201d the grant concludes.<\/p>\n<p>The Guttmacher Institute is a progressive organization, founded by the\u00a0Planned Parenthood Federation of America before going independent in 2007, that prides itself as a \u201cleading research and policy organization committed to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Institute not only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/article\/2021\/02\/case-ending-global-gag-rule-and-helms-amendment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">advocated<\/a> for the end of the global gag rule, which prohibits organizations that receive taxpayer dollars from funding abortions but also admonished the Biden White House to take up abortion for all as a top first-term priority.<\/p>\n<p>When the Supreme Court issued its <em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em> decision, Guttmacher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/abortion-rights-supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lamented<\/a> the end of a \u201cconstitutional right to abortion\u201d and manufactured research that makes red states\u2019 abortion restrictions, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/20\/media-activists-wont-grill-democrats-on-unpopular-abortion-extremism-because-they-agree-with-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">despite voter support<\/a>, look unpopular. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
