(AP Photo\/Yuki Iwamura, File)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 11:39 AM PT \u2013 Thursday, October 6, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A federal judge has blocked several aspects of a New York gun law.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\">\n<\/div>\n<p>On Thursday, District Judge Glenn Suddaby ruled that several provisions of the state\u2019s new gun law are unconstitutional and that they cannot be enforced.<\/p>\n<p>Suddaby took issue with the new requirements for background checks for gun permits, including the disclosure of an applicant\u2019s social media accounts. He also blocked the implementation of bans on firearms in some public and private venues.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/c3.oann.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">JUST IN: US District Judge Glenn Suddaby, a George W.
