If the facts and evidence warrant criminal charges under New Mexico law then charges will be brought. No one is above the law,\u201d it concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Carmack-Altwies <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/are-criminal-charges-on-the-way-for-alec-baldwin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed an emergency request<\/a>\u00a0in late September with the\u00a0New Mexico Board of Finance \u2014 asking for $635,000 to support \u201cup to four possible criminal cases\u201d that she indicated could arise out of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Finance approved half of the amount she requested \u2014 $317,000 \u2014 which she said would be used to fund a\u00a0special prosecutor, special investigator, experts and others who could be necessary for up to four individual jury trials. Carmack-Altwies said that she would be \u201crequesting special appropriation\u201d in order to make up the difference in funding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the possible defendants is well known movie actor Alec Baldwin,\u201d Carmack-Altwies said.
