Prior to the numbers being released, economists that were surveyed by Refinitiv predicted that 200,000 jobs were going to be added. This increase beats the 185,000 jobs that were added during the month of August.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\">\n<\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/c3.oann.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">September \u2066<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ADP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ADP<\/a>\u2069 payrolls stronger-than-expected at +208k vs. +200k est. &#038; +185k in prior month (rev up from +132k); small businesses +58k; medium +90k; large +60k \u2026 goods-producing -29k; services-producing +237k <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TrxMXBhFTQ\">pic.twitter.com\/TrxMXBhFTQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Liz Ann Sonders (@LizAnnSonders) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LizAnnSonders\/status\/1577634954367877120?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 5, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Nela Richardson, the chief economist at ADP believes that U.S. labor market will continue to grow in the coming months.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThere are signs that people are returning to the labor market,\u201d Richardson said. \u201cWe\u2019re in an interim period where we\u2019re going to continue to see steady job gains. Employer demand remains robust and the supply of workers is improving \u2013 for now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There were a variety of industries that gained workers during the month of September. The professional and business services industry gained 57,000 employees, the education and health services industry grew by 38,000 employees and the leisure and hospitality industry gained 31,000 workers.<\/p>\n<p>The increase in jobs comes even as goods-producing industries have reported major losses.
