(Photo by Justin Sullivan\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 1:38 PM PT \u2013 Tuesday, October 4, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the ride sharing company announced that\u00a0employees must work from the office every Tuesday and Thursday, also known as\u00a0\u201canchor days.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\">\n<\/div>\n<p>In a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/en-IN\/blog\/our-return-to-the-office\/\">\u00a0press release<\/a>, the company said this change is due\u00a0to feedback from\u00a0employees, who say in-person work makes them feel more engaged, a stronger sense of belonging, and an overall\u00a0higher satisfaction with work.<\/p>\n<p>This new requirement comes as rival companies, such as Lyft, announced a \u2018fully flexible\u2019 option. Lyft is allowing workers to have the option of where to work and live.<\/p>\n<p>Uber\u2019s new schedule will go into effect starting November 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A sign is posted on the exterior of the new Uber headquarters on March 29, 2021 in San Francisco, California.
