However, he added that\u00a0\u201cHunter Biden did that times 100.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only was he a private American citizen,\u201d the Republican lawmaker said, \u201cbut he was an immediate family member of the sitting vice president of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comer alleged that a former associate of Hunter Biden said that the younger Biden \u201cwas keeping Joe Biden up\u201d by \u201cpaying for his everyday expenses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter \u201cwas helping provide that comfortable lifestyle and that big nice house he has in Delaware. He was helping to keep that up. So that\u2019s a problem for Joe Biden,\u201d he said, citing the whistleblower.<\/p>\n<p>A former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, spoke to media outlets in late 2020 after reports of the laptop surfaced, confirming the authenticity of messages from Hunter Biden.
