They\u2019re all working as one team,\u201d\u00a0the president added. \u201cI hear that from the governor as well as from the federal folks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the experienced Coast Guard member who risked his own life to save Floridians is facing discharge from the maritime search and rescue agency because he won\u2019t comply with Biden\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Loesch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/10\/01\/biden-thanks-coast-guard-rescue-swimmer-hes-kicking-out-vaccine-mandate\/\">told Breitbart News<\/a> on Oct. 1 after his conversation with the president.<\/p>\n<p>Loesch told the publication that he had filed a religious accommodation request to the vaccine mandate, as well as an appeal, but both were denied.\u00a0Religious exceptions are typically made regarding the use of fetal tissue in the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I had asked any of the people I saved yesterday if they wanted to come with me even though I am unvaccinated, every single one of them would have said \u2018yes,&#8217;\u201d Loesch said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just sucks that he thanked me yet the vaccine mandate is what\u2019s kicking me out,\u201d he added. \u201cI just love my job and I\u2019m really good at it. It sucks.
