Why?,\u201d screamed the Dutch 25-year-old as he was told to pit instead of going for pole position at a race he needs to win if he is to secure a second championship with five rounds to spare.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhat the\u2026what are you guys saying? Unbelievable, mate. I don\u2019t get it. What the\u2026is this about?,\u201d Verstappen raged, with the expletives bleeped out on the television broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>His race engineer replied that they would explain all privately.<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen was still frustrated afterwards, telling Sky Sports television there would have been insufficient fuel in the car to provide a mandatory post-qualifying sample had he not aborted the lap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the final lap they told me to box and then I realised what was going to happen and we ran out of fuel. That\u2019s just incredibly frustrating and shouldn\u2019t happen,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should have seen that way earlier. I\u2019m not happy at all at the moment. I know of course it\u2019s always a team effort and I can make mistakes and the team can make mistakes but it\u2019s never acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course you learn from it but this is really bad, to be honest.
