Gavin Newsom on Sept. 27, 2022:<\/p>\n<p>  <a href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202120220SB1375\">AB 1375<\/a>: Reduces doctor oversight and standardized procedures for abortions. <a href=\"https:\/\/trackbill.com\/bill\/california-assembly-bill-657-healing-arts-expedited-licensure-process-applicants-providing-abortions\/2032105\/\">AB 657<\/a>: Fast-tracks abortion licenses for health care officials coming to California to provide abortions. <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/ca\/bills\/20212022\/SB1245\/\">SB 1245<\/a>: Funds abortion access in Los Angeles County. <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/ca\/bills\/20212022\/AB2626\/\">AB 2626<\/a>: Prohibits specified medical licensing boards from suspending or revoking a license from a provider for performing an abortion if the abortion was in accordance with\u00a0the Medical Practice Act and the Reproductive Privacy Act. <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/ca\/bills\/20212022\/AB1918\/\">AB 1918<\/a>: Establishes the\u00a0California Reproductive Health Service Corps, which will provide education and training to newly recruited abortion and reproductive health care workers in exchange for a three-year commitment by the trainees to work for the state to provide abortions and other reproductive services in \u201cunderserved areas.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/trackbill.com\/bill\/california-assembly-bill-2586-reproductive-and-sexual-health-inequities\/2230778\/#:~:text=AB%202586%2C%20Cristina%20Garcia.%20Reproductive%20and%20sexual%20health,and%20administer%20various%20programs%20relating%20to%20public%20health.\">AB 2586<\/a>: Awards funding grants to community organizations for comprehensive reproductive and sexual education, including information about abortion access. <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/ca\/bills\/20212022\/AB2091\/\">AB 2091<\/a>: Prohibits health care providers from sharing medical information regarding an out-of-state individual, even minors without the knowledge or consent of their parents, seeking an abortion in California. <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/ca\/bills\/20212022\/AB2134\/\">AB 2134<\/a>: Establishes the California Reproductive Health Equity Program, which provides grants to providers to cover the cost of abortion procedures and contraception for low-income clients. <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/ca\/bills\/20212022\/SB523\/\">SB 523<\/a>: Expands birth control access regardless of insurance status by requiring health plans to cover certain over-the-counter birth control without cost sharing.
