She\u2019s such a smart lady,\u201d said Twain, 57, adding that the two of them ate out at a restaurant together. Though she mentioned the 1990s at one point, it\u2019s unclear when this specific dinner occurred, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/country\/shania-twain-recalls-dinner-with-oprah-winfrey-going-sour-after-discussing-religion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People Magazine<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While the dinner started off well, it went off the rails when religion came up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was great to just sit and have real talks, but as soon as we started talking about religion, it all went sour. So, I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, OK. If they work together again, we\u2019re guessing they\u2019ll be avoiding the topic of religion!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Oprah Opens Up About Religion\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In a 2015 interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aarp.org\/entertainment\/style-trends\/info-2015\/oprah-winfrey-belief-series.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AARP Bulletin<\/a>, Oprah discussed her strong religious faith as someone who grew up Baptist.
