Andrew Clyde (R-GA) that \u201cmen can have pregnancies, especially trans men.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomebody with a uterus may have the capability of becoming pregnant, whether they\u2019re a woman or a man,\u201d Kumar claimed. \u201cThat doesn\u2019t make a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOK, we\u2019re done,\u201d Clyde replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot every person with a uterus has the ability to become pregnant,\u201d Kumar said. \u201cThis is medicine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t believe it\u2019s necessary to say this, but men cannot get pregnant and cannot give birth, regardless of how they identify themselves,\u201d Clyde said. \u201cWhy in the world would Democrats have brought in a person whose title is \u2018director of trans care\u2019 for an abortion hearing when only biological women can become pregnant?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ocasio-Cortez lashed out over Clyde\u2019s response, claiming:\u00a0\u201cThe same folks who \u2026 told us that COVID\u2019s just a flu, that climate change isn\u2019t real, that January 6 was nothing but a tourist visit \u2026 are now trying to tell us that transgender people are not real.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I would say that their claim is probably just as legitimate as all their others, which is to say not very much at all,\u201d she claimed.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AOC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AOC<\/a> (D-NY): \u201cThe same folks who tell us \u2026 that COVID\u2019s just a flu, that climate change isn\u2019t real, that January 6th was just nothing but a tourist visit, are now trying to tell us that transgender people aren\u2019t real.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NQbdK5ltGT\">pic.twitter.com\/NQbdK5ltGT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Recount (@therecount) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/therecount\/status\/1575531374731223040?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 29, 2022<\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
