Jackie Walorski (R-IN) while thanking a handful of bipartisan officials for putting together the\u00a0White House\u00a0Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan officials like Representative McGovern, Senator Braun, Senator Booker, Representative \u2026 Jackie, are you here? Where\u2019s Jackie?\u201d Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/wheres-jackie-biden-asks-where-dead-congresswoman-is-at-white-house-conference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked<\/a>. \u201cI think she must not be here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walorski <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-u-s-congresswoman-killed-in-head-on-collision\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">died<\/a> in a tragic car accident back in August.<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Pierre repeatedly dodged questions from reporters over Biden\u2019s struggles in remembering that the congresswoman was no longer alive, even though he is hosting her family this week to honor her.<\/p>\n<p>The following are the different exchanges that Jean-Pierre had with reporters:<\/p>\n<p><em>REPORTER: What happened in the hunger event today? The president appeared to look around the room for an audience member, a member of Congress who passed away last month. He seemed to indicate she might be in the room. What happened there?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JEAN-PIERRE: So the president was, as you all know \u2014 you guys were watching today\u2019s event, a very important event on food insecurity. The president was naming the congressional champions on this issue and was acknowledging her incredible work. He had \u2014 he had already planned to welcome the congresswoman\u2019s family to the White House on Friday. There will be a bill signing in her honor this coming Friday. So, of course, she was on his mind. She was of top of mind for the president. He looks \u2014 very much looks forward to discussing her remarkable legacy of public service with them when he sees her family this coming Friday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CeciliaVega?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CeciliaVega<\/a>: &#8220;What happened at the Hunger Event today? Where\u2019s Jackie? She must not be here.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JEAN-PIERRE: No, I totally understand. I just \u2014 I just explained she was on top of mind. You know, this wasn\u2019t \u2014 what we were able to witness today and what the president was able to lift up in this \u2014 at this conference at this event was how her \u2014 her focus on wanting to deal with, combat food \u2014 food insecurity in America. And this is something that he was lifting up and honoring. <\/em><em>And, again, he knows that he\u2019s going to see her family this coming Friday. There\u2019s a bill signing that\u2019s going to happen in renaming a VA clinic in Indiana after the late congresswoman. If the late congresswoman was top of mind for the president and her family was expected to be here and that\u2019s what he was thinking about, what \u2014 why was he looking for her? I\u2019m not trying to be snarky here. But I \u2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JEAN-PIERRE: No, I mean \u2014 and I\u2019m \u2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>REPORTER: I don\u2019t understand the connection between what you\u2019re saying and what he said there.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JEAN-PIERRE: And, again, I think people can understand, I think the American people out there who, you know, watch the briefing from time to time, maybe at this moment, will understand when someone is at top of mind. And \u2014 and this was such an important \u2014 such an important event, when we\u2019re talking about hunger, when we\u2019re talking about food insecurity, when we\u2019re talking about these champions, these congressional champions who were in the room, who have worked in a bipartisan way. <\/em><em>You know, we don\u2019t talk much about bipartisan actions that we see in Congress at this time. And as he was naming folks, he \u2014 she was on top of mind, and he understands and knew that she was \u2014 he was going to see her family on Friday for this bill signing. <\/em><em>Again, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s all that unusual to have someone top of mind, especially as there\u2019s a big event \u2014 two big events \u2014 today and also Friday \u2014 that is going to occur. And so he\u2019s going to see her family. They\u2019re going to honor her. They\u2019re going to celebrate her.
