In a <a href=\"https:\/\/emersoncollegepolling.com\/texas-2022-greg-abbott-leads-beto-orourke-by-eight-in-gubernatorial-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poll<\/a> from Emerson College Polling, Abbott has 50 percent support while O\u2019Rourke only has 42 percent.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\">\n<\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p>This lead is similar to one found by the same polling firm in February. 63 percent of Texas voters expect Abbott to be re-elected while only 37 percent think O\u2019Rourke has a chance to unseat him.
