Accordingly, we believe that you possess information relating to our investigation and we request your assistance with our inquiry,\u201d wrote Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the committee\u2019s ranking member, in the note obtained by The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou should construe this preservation notice as an instruction to take all reasonable steps to prevent the destruction or alteration, whether intentionally or negligently, of all documents, communications, and other information, including electronic information and metadata, that are or may be responsive to this congressional inquiry,\u201d the missive continued.<\/p>\n<p>The letter was co-signed by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) another senior member of the committee. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/preservation-notice-former-fbi-agent-4.jpg\"><\/a><figcaption>Timothy Thibault resigned from the FBI last August.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">FBI<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In October 2020, Thibault ordered that a probe into Hunter Biden\u2019s alleged \u201ccriminal financial and related activity\u201d be closed, an agency whistleblower <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/grassley_to_justice_deptfbipoliticalbiasfollowup.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told Sen. Chuck Grassley in July<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Post columnist <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/09\/04\/fbi-agent-timothy-thibault-hid-intel-from-whistleblower-on-hunter-the-big-guy-joe-biden\/\">Miranda Devine reported <\/a>that Thibault had been assigned as the agency \u201cpoint man\u201d to manage Hunter Biden\u2019s business partner Tony Bobulinski \u2014 whose revelations about the first son also went ignored by the agency.<\/p>\n<p>Thibault<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/29\/fbi-agent-resigns-amid-hunter-biden-probe-scrutiny\/\"> resigned<\/a> from the FBI in August. He\u2019s tied to the Hunter Biden scandal, the January 6th investigation, and even Joe Biden\u2019s phony quest to tackle \u2018extremism\u2019 throughout the United States.
