Roger Marshall (R-Kan.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden\u2019s religious experience with the Green New Deal is that it actually empowers and helps those countries like China [and] Southeast Asia. Whenever you\u2019re just pouring out billions of dollars of American cash, of course these foreign countries are going to find ways to take advantage of it,\u201d Marshall said Sept. 23, in an interview with NTD news, The Epoch Times\u2019 sister media.<\/p>\n<p>According to the White House\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/06\/06\/fact-sheet-president-biden-takes-bold-executive-action-to-spur-domestic-clean-energy-manufacturing\/?mc_cid=3cb8ededb1&amp;mc_eid=11fa072679\">announcement<\/a> on June 6, the tariff suspension applies to imports that supply about 80 percent of photovoltaic cells and modules used in the United States from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, and will be effective for two years.<\/p>\n<p>The move was made despite the ongoing probe launched by the Commerce Department to examine whether Chinese solar manufacturers had been improperly funneling parts through those four Asian countries.<\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times reached out to the White House for comment.<\/p>\n<p> Threats <\/p>\n<p>The lawmaker also sounded the alarm about the threats that the regime poses to America.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy biggest national security concerns about China come more from bioterrorism concerns,\u201d he said, pointing to the National Institutes of Health\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/newly-released-documents-detail-us-funded-coronavirus-research-at-wuhan-institute-of-virology-report_3984829.html\">funding of gain-of-function research<\/a> in Wuhan where the virus was first reported at the end of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve lost over a million Americans from COVID, which is really gain-of-function research \u2026 and we\u2019re continuing to do that,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNinety-five percent of the counterfeits that come in this country come through China.
