This week, Georgia\u2019s Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams called prenatal heartbeats fake sounds \u201cmanufactured\u201d by the patriarchy. And then what do you know? Planned Parenthood has also updated its website to peddle the same narrative. <\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood recently revamped its description of an unborn baby\u2019s heartbeat to prop up the conspiracy theory that the pulsation of the infant\u2019s blood-pumping, developing heart as measured by technology is not actually a heartbeat. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/learn\/pregnancy\/pregnancy-month-by-month\/what-happens-second-month-pregnancy#:~:text=The%20neural%20tube%20begins%20forming,The%20umbilical%20cord%20begins%20developing.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">web page<\/a> in question, titled \u201cWhat happens in the second month of pregnancy?\u201d outlines the developmental milestones unborn babies reach during the middle of the first trimester. <\/p>\n<p>An archived version of Planned Parenthood\u2019s website from July shows \u201ca very basic beating heart and circulatory system\u201d are present in a baby\u2019s in utero development around 5 to 6 weeks gestation. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"524\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-23-at-9.44.50-AM-1024x524-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-279934\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-23-at-9.44.50-AM-1024x524-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-23-at-9.44.50-AM-300x153.png 300w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-23-at-9.44.50-AM-768x393-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-23-at-9.44.50-AM-1536x786-1.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-23-at-9.44.50-AM.png 1662w\"><\/figure>\n<p>Planned Parenthood\u2019s modified page, however, claims an unborn baby\u2019s heartbeat is actually just \u201ccardiac activity\u201d that \u201csounds like a heartbeat on an ultrasound.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA part of the embryo starts to show cardiac activity. It sounds like a heartbeat on an ultrasound, but it\u2019s not a fully-formed heart \u2014 it\u2019s the earliest stage of the heart developing,\u201d the Planned Parenthood website now states. It\u2019s worth noting that human hearts keep growing as long as we do, however, long after we exit the birth canal. Despite the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/redsteeze\/status\/1572788948912709632?s=20&amp;t=kW8Flj9hzBajSBFgmFmUzw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">endless<\/a> stream of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/when-does-a-fetus-have-a-heartbeat#:~:text=Before%20about%20week%208%20of,fetal%20pole%2C%20at%20this%20stage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scientific<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/americanpregnancy.org\/healthy-pregnancy\/pregnancy-health-wellness\/early-fetal-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">evidence<\/a> confirming the presence of an unborn baby\u2019s beating heart very early in pregnancy, other Democrats, Big Tech, and corporate media all jumped at the opportunity to back Abrams. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFWIW, \u2018fetal heartbeat\u2019 is a misnomer. The ultrasound picks up electrical activity generated by an embryo. The so-called \u2018heartbeat\u2019 sound you hear is created by the ultrasound.
