Yet, it\u2019s a widespread belief on the left that has not only seeped into corporate media such as The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/02\/14\/health\/abortion-heartbeat-debate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Times<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/health\/womens-health\/heartbeat-bills-called-fetal-heartbeat-six-weeks-pregnancy-rcna24435\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NBC News<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/health-shots\/2021\/09\/02\/1033727679\/fetal-heartbeat-isnt-a-medical-term-but-its-still-used-in-laws-on-abortion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NPR<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/heartbeat-bills-get-the-science-of-fetal-heartbeats-all-wrong\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wired<\/a> but also isn\u2019t categorically denied by Democrats. <\/p>\n<p>When asked by The Federalist whether they agree with Abrams\u00a0that unborn babies don\u2019t have heartbeats in early gestation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/latest_polls\/senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vulnerable Democrats<\/a> such as Sens. Mark Kelly of Arizona, Michael Bennet of Colorado, Raphael Warnock of Georgia, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, and Patty Murray of Washington did not respond.  <\/p>\n<p>U.S. Senate candidates John Fetterman, Val Demings, and Tim Ryan also did not say whether they agreed with Abrams.<\/p>\n<p>Much like Abrams \u2014 who is lagging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2022\/governor\/ga\/georgia_governor_kemp_vs_abrams-7538.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">6.6 points behind<\/a> incumbent Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp \u2014 Kelly, Bennet, Warnock, Cortez Masto, Hassan, Murray, Fetterman, Demings, and Ryan have all made their <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/18\/these-vulnerable-dems-wont-say-if-they-support-unpopular-unfettered-abortion-but-theyve-backed-it-before\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">radical and deeply unpopular abortion policies<\/a> a top campaign priority, even though they face increasingly tight midterm races.  <\/p>\n<p>Despite the repercussions a gamble like that could have on their re-election or election chances, Democrats aren\u2019t backing down from supporting the grotesque abortion agenda that has taken over the blue party.<\/p>\n<p>They think that promoting abortion through all nine months of pregnancy \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/06\/vulnerable-senate-dems-campaign-against-abortion-ban-00030489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">will be vital to their political survival<\/a>\u201d come November but the left\u2019s radical abortion agenda doesn\u2019t sit well with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/americans-support-abortion-restrictions-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">majority of Americans<\/a> and roughly half of Democrat voters, who say they would limit abortion to the first trimester or before.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats can deny that unborn babies have heartbeats but there\u2019s no denying that their abortion radicalism is not as popular as they say it is. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
