Boebert"},"content":{"rendered":"<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\"><div class=\"mashsb-box\"><div class=\"mashsb-count mash-medium\" style=\"float:left\"><div class=\"counts mashsbcount\">22<\/div><span class=\"mashsb-sharetext\">SHARES<\/span><\/div><div class=\"mashsb-buttons\"><a class=\"mashicon-facebook mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.conservativenewsdaily.net%2Fbreaking-news%2Fcolorado-sheriff-faces-campaign-finance-complaint-over-support-of-rep-boebert%2F\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-twitter mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?text=&amp;url=https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/?p=1652436&amp;via=ConservNewsDly\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Twitter<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-subscribe mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"#\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Subscribe<\/span><\/a><div class=\"onoffswitch2 mash-medium mashsb-noshadow\" style=\"display:none\"><\/div><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                <div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div><\/aside>\n            <!-- Share buttons by mashshare.net - Version: 4.0.47--><p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-colorado\">Colorado<\/a> sheriff has until Oct. 4 to \u201ccure\u201d a complaint alleging campaign finance violations over emails and videos that appear to support Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-lauren-boebert\">Lauren Boebert<\/a> (R-Colo.) filed by a political operative accused of harassing the congresswoman.<\/p>\n<p>The Enforcement Team of the Elections Division in the office of the Colorado Secretary of State (SOS), Jena Griswold, is currently reviewing the complaint against Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint was\u00a0filed by David Wheeler, the president of American Muckrakers PAC, who leads efforts to \u201cfire\u201d Boebert and is <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CalltoActivism\/status\/1572350456466120709\">touted<\/a> as spearheading a similar campaign targeting\u00a0former Republican North Carolina congressman\u00a0Madison Cawthorn.<\/p>\n<p>Wheeler accuses Vallario of using his official email account to \u201csend a political message supporting Lauren Boebert for Congress and deriding her opponent.\u201d Vallario is also accused of referring to Wheeler as\u00a0\u201ca loon\u201d in an email to staff, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to The Epoch Times, Vallario confirmed that he had until Oct. 4 to \u201ccure\u201d Wheeler\u2019s \u201cone-sided\u201d complaint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is currently an investigation where the SOS has stated that there \u2018may\u2019 be one or more violations as a result of the one-sided information provided so far,\u201d Vallario said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are three or four emails he has provided as \u2018evidence\u2019 of his claims. I will be addressing those in my response to the SOS,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Complaints brought to the SOS\u2019s office are initially reviewed by the Enforcement Team of the Elections Division independently to determine whether to pursue it, according to the SOS\u2019s office. Griswold and her deputy are \u201cwalled off\u201d\u00a0from the investigative phase of all complaints.<\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times understands the complaint against Vallario is in the \u201cnotice of initial review and opportunity to cure\u201d phase.<\/p>\n<p>After an initial review of the complaint, the Elections Division found that if the allegations are proven they \u201cmay\u201d constitute campaign finance<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Colorado sheriff has until Oct. 4 to \u201ccure\u201d a complaint alleging campaign finance violations over emails and videos that appear to support Rep.
