At the same time, about 192 seats were classified as leaning Democrat, said the Cook report in a report issued on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Cook\u2019s estimate suggests there are 31 toss-up seats in the midterm elections. It means Republicans need to only win six of those seats to re-capture the House.<\/p>\n<p>Historically, the party of the president tends to win midterm elections. For example, two years after President Bill Clinton\u2019s victory in 1992, Republicans won in landslide numbers during the 1994 midterms, buoyed by then-Rep.\u00a0Newt Gingrich\u2019s (R-Ga.) \u201cContract with America\u201d policy proposals.<\/p>\n<p>But Clinton, in a recent interview with CNN, claimed Democrats have a good chance of keeping both the House and Senate in November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe could hold both these houses,\u201d Clinton said. \u201cBut we have to say the right things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we have to note the Republicans always close well. Why? Because they find some new way to scare the living daylights out of swing voters about something,\u201d he alleged.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton then said that last year, Republicans targeted critical race theory, or CRT, a Marxist-inspired ideological framework that asserts there is systemic racism everywhere that favors white people.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Clinton said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-gop\">GOP<\/a> officials made critical race theory \u201csound worse than smallpox\u201d and claimed it wasn\u2019t being taught in public schools.<\/p>\n<p>However, numerous \u201cdiversity, equity, and inclusion\u201d training in public school and corporate settings are based on CRT. And Criticalrace.org has <a href=\"https:\/\/criticalrace.org\/\">repeatedly<\/a> highlighted CRT-derived curricula popping up at schools across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut they didn\u2019t care.
