Version: 4.0.47--><div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has called on governments, businesses, philanthropies and other prominent institutions to back the newly re-activated Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) \u2013 to help save a troubled world \u201con fire.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CGI reconvenes Monday, the first time since 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Those attending the event will meet a host of celebrities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matt Damon<\/li>\n<li>Bono<\/li>\n<li>Ashley Judd<\/li>\n<li>Robin Wright<\/li>\n<li>Lin-Manuel Miranda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The list also includes Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Laurene Powell Jobs, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Jose Andres, and Queen Rania of Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton claims to be \u201camazed\u201d by the massive response to the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe world\u2019s on fire in a lot of different ways,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/united-nations-general-assembly-entertainment-health-covid-states-02f3eef239490442e81931db94fab0d0?utm_source=homepage&amp;utm_medium=TopNews&amp;utm_campaign=position_6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> the Associated Press.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut there are a lot of things that businesses, non-governmental groups and governments working together can do to help with a lot of these problems,\u201d Clinton added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfetched.com\/former-clinton-advisor-on-trump-raid-seized-files-incriminate-fbi-not-trump\/\"><strong>RELATED: Former Clinton Advisor: Seized Files Incriminate FBI, Not Trump<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the CGI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clintonfoundation.org\/programs\/leadership-public-service\/clinton-global-initiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>, it \u201cconvenes global and emerging leaders to create and implement solutions to the world\u2019s most pressing challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRather than directly implementing projects, CGI facilitates action by helping members connect, collaborate, and develop Commitments to Action \u2014 new, specific, and measurable plans that address global challenges,\u201d it says of itself.<\/p>\n<p>The Clinton Global Initiative abruptly ended after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfetched.com\/hillary-accuses-ron-desantis-of-human-trafficking-for-sending-migrants-to-dem-cities\/\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> launched her doomed presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>A year before, donations plummeted by 37 percent in the wake of the allegations that Clinton used the charity to solicit millions of dollars from foreign governments and corporations in exchange for allowing entities favorable treatment while she served as Secretary of State.<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer exposed one such deal.<\/p>\n<p>In his book, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1621575454\/?tag=breitbart035-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clinton Cash<\/a>, Schweizer exposed the Uranium One deal\u2014 and other transactions between Clinton Foundation donors and the State Department.<\/p>\n<p>Hoping the public forgets, the CGI is preparing to convene between September 19 to September 21 in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative has also been sponsored by major corporations, including Goldman Sachs, Blackstone Group, Standard Chartered Bank, Monsanto, and Coca-Cola.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Hillary Rodham Clinton will discuss approaches to creating gender equality with New York Gov.
