Happy just the way you are. Go for it my boy, next goal we dance,\u201d Neymar wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran Brazil centre back Thiago Silva also told Vinicius to keep dancing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t let anyone take away your happiness,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A panellist on a Spanish soccer show said Vinicius was not respecting his opponents with his celebrations, comparing his behaviour to that of a monkey \u2014 which immediately sparked backlash on social media as it was construed as racist.<\/p>\n<p>The panellist, Pedro Bravo, later took to Twitter to issue a clarification, saying he used the \u201cmonkey\u201d expression to say Vinicius was \u201cdoing stupid things\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to clarify that the expression \u2018playing the monkey\u2019 that I have misused to qualify Vinicius\u2019 goal celebration dance was done metaphorically,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince my intention was not to offend anyone, I sincerely apologize. I am sorry!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vinicius also received support from former Brazil great Pele.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFootball is joy. It\u2019s a dance. It\u2019s a real party.
