She went on to add, the \u201cpsychological abuse\u201d she faced for simply questioning these divisive measures gave her no choice but to resign.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I made this video last night and forgot to tweet it out. They claim it\u2019s negative, so I think what\u2019s the downside\u2026it brands people who are not racist as racist because that\u2019s the way they\u2019ve constructed it,\u201d stated William Jacobsen, professor at Cornell University. \u201cIt demonizes large sections of the campus and it doesn\u2019t change any minds. I don\u2019t know how it could get any worse than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smith.edu\/\">Smith College<\/a> reportedly offered Jodi Shaw compensation to stay quiet, she rejected it and is now filing a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cI make $45,000 a year; less than a year\u2019s tuition for a Smith student,\u201d Shaw explained. \u201cI was offered a settlement in exchange for my silence, but I turned it down.\u201d<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today Smith responded to my resignation letter.
